This is a translation of our Romanian privacy policy, for the convenience of English-speaking visitors. If anything here differs from the Romanian version, the Romanian text is the one that applies.

The Humanimals Association respects users' right to privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data collected through the website www.humanimals.ro. This document explains how we collect, use, store and protect your data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

What data do we collect?

• First and last name
• E-mail address
• Phone number (optional)
• City / county (in some forms)
• Donation information (amount, date, method)
• Messages sent through the contact form
• Data collected automatically through cookies (see the Cookie policy)

Purpose of collection

• Processing donations and issuing any supporting documents
• Contacting the user about their request
• Signing up for volunteering or support programmes
• Improving the browsing experience on the site
• Internal statistical and financial reporting (aggregated and anonymised data)

Legal basis

• The user's explicit consent (e.g.: newsletter sign-up, donation form)
• The Association's legitimate interest in carrying out its non-profit activities
• Legal obligations (e.g.: accounting records for donations)

Who has access to the data?

• Humanimals team members responsible for communication, fundraising and IT administration
• Payment-processing or hosting service providers (only for strictly necessary purposes)
• Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC, as a processor for traffic statistics (Google Analytics 4) — only if you have given your consent in the cookie banner; the data is pseudonymised, without the full IP address, and consent can be withdrawn at any time from "Cookie settings" (details in the Cookie policy)
• Tax or audit authorities, only within the limits required by law

Data storage and security

• Data is stored in secure databases, with restricted access
• We use technical and organisational measures to protect data (e.g.: encryption, two-factor authentication, regular backups)
• We do not store bank or card details

User rights

• The right to access, rectify or erase your data
• The right to withdraw your consent at any time
• The right to request restriction of processing or to object to processing
• The right to lodge a complaint with ANSPDCP (the Romanian data protection authority)
