Why run with us

Every kilometre counts for the animals we save

You run the race you choose, at your own pace, wearing Humanimals' colours. You can raise funds from friends and colleagues, and we take care of the rest of the team organising.

Good to know

  • The entry fee is paid by you or, within the limits of available slots, from the places Humanimals has reserved for the team.
  • You choose the race that suits you: marathon, half marathon, short race or relay — you enter the exact name in the form.
  • You can optionally add a fundraising pledge for Humanimals' projects.
  • Your sign-up data also reaches the event organiser, who processes it under its own privacy policy.
  • All fields marked (*) in the form are required — an incomplete form cannot be registered.
  • Online registration is open until Tuesday, 6 October, within the limits of available slots (information from the organiser).
  • Schedule: Saturday, 10 October — the 10 km race and the 2.5 km fun run; Sunday, 11 October — the marathon (42 km), the half marathon (21 km) and the relay. All races start from Constitution Square.
  • The race kit is collected from Sport & Expo Village, Constitution Square, starting Thursday, 8 October, at 16:00. Route maps are on bucharest-marathon.com.

Three ways to be on the team

Run, cheer, or support from a distance

You don't have to run to be part of the team. On the 10-11 October weekend we need people on the sidelines too, and people who spread the word.

You run

You choose the race that suits you — marathon, half marathon, short race or relay — and you run it at your own pace, in the team's jersey. You sign up with the form below. The rules, route, schedule and fees are on the organiser's website.

You cheer

Humanimals will have a hydration-and-cheering point on the route. Come with your family, friends, banners and your voice: for a runner, a group shouting their name at the hard kilometre matters enormously. We'll announce the place and time before the race, here and on Facebook and Instagram. Let us know you're coming at contact@humanimals.ro.

You support from a distance

Every runner can raise funds from friends and colleagues for Humanimals' projects. If you're not in Bucharest that weekend, you can donate in the name of a team runner or the whole team, and as a company you can sponsor the team. Sharing this page helps too.

Fill in your details exactly as on your ID. We confirm your registration by e-mail, once your place on the team is validated.

Data protection

How we use the data from the form

  • Controller: Humanimals Association, Tax ID (CIF) 51509182, contact@humanimals.ro, +40 734 299 391. The purpose of processing is registering for the event and managing participation on the association's team, based on the consent given in the form.
  • Your data is transmitted to the event organiser, who processes it as an independent controller, under its own policy. Beyond that, the data is not shared with other third parties and is not used for marketing without a separate consent.
  • The data is kept until the event ends and for at most 12 months afterwards, then deleted or anonymised, except for legal archiving obligations.
  • The name and phone number of the emergency contact are used exclusively in an emergency situation during the event.
  • You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to processing, data portability, and to withdraw your consent, at contact@humanimals.ro.

About the marathon team

No. You choose the race and your own pace; the short race and the relay are within anyone's reach. The details of each race — distance, time limit, schedule — are on the organiser's website.

Either you, or — within the limits of available slots — it comes from the places Humanimals has reserved for the team. You choose the option in the form and we confirm by e-mail.

Yes, and we need that: the Humanimals point on the route (hydration and cheering) runs on people. We'll announce the place and time before the race; write to us at contact@humanimals.ro so we know how many to expect.

You get your registration confirmed by e-mail, once your place on the team is validated, and before the event we send you the practical details: the jersey, where we meet, who else is running.

From Sport & Expo Village, in Constitution Square, starting Thursday, 8 October, at 16:00 — according to the organiser. The kit is yours; you get the Humanimals jersey from us, separately.
