Our vision
Humanimals aims to become a reference point, in Romania and beyond, for animal protection and welfare, by creating an integrated place where stray dogs and cats are sheltered, rehabilitated and brought back into the community.
We want to show that a modern, responsible approach does not only save lives: it creates social, educational and economic value for the community around it.

Our mission
We offer lasting, practical solutions for the care and integration of stray animals. Through education, community involvement and partnerships, we work to change how people think and to reduce abandonment.
That means both solving the problems in front of us today and raising awareness of what taking on an animal actually involves.

Responsibility
We promote responsible adoption and neutering, and we keep telling people what caring for an animal means years down the line, not just on the first day.
Doing things differently
From a sustainable food factory to our own software given free to other shelters, we look for solutions that work at scale, not only for us.
Sustainability
Food production, waste management and the design of the buildings all follow ecological and circular-economy principles. What we build has to be affordable to run.
Working together
We work with local authorities, other non-profits, private institutions, volunteers and the wider community. Nobody solves this alone.

If you are a donor, a partner, or simply want to check something before supporting us, write to us and we will send you the relevant documents (most are in Romanian).
Requests to contact@humanimals.ro — we reply within 5 working days.
Every donation goes to the project it was given for. We publish the progress of each campaign, and donors can ask for a report on what their contribution did.
